Burnout: Rest, Sabbath, and Spiritually Healthy Leadership
In the wake of culture wars and pandemics, burnout among church leaders is at an all-time high. Professionally we are tired, personally we are stretched thin, and emotionally we are drained. The day off isn't enough, vacations aren’t helping, and self-care strategies aren’t working. But God didn’t intend for us to live this way. God’s intention is that we build lives we don’t want to escape from. In this session, we will talk about what burnout is, where it comes from, and how to move toward spiritually healthy leadership. We will talk about creating healthy boundaries around work, how to change habits that aren’t helping you thrive, and how to build spiritual practices that increase your emotional capacity to lead.
