Description

Do you find yourself uninspired when composing a prayer to be shared with others? Do you panic as your deadline draws near, and does your mind go blank? Do your words and phrases seem repetitive and unoriginal? Do you worry you are boring your listeners? Do you put off prayer preparation to the last minute because you don’t know where to start? Do you prefer not to prepare and just “wing it” in the moment, praying God will be merciful? This session will encourage you to rethink your public prayer practices, whether you are leading a Bible study, a hospital visit or a church service. We will discuss guiding principles, how we choose our words, and delivery, accompanied with examples for the church year, special days and prayers for any week.
