Now more than ever, many churches are looking for new ways to make an impact in their community through collaboration. Shared Ministry is an effective model of bringing two churches together under one roof, keeping the identity that makes each church unique while building upon each other's strengths, providing common ministry to both, and expanding the ministry capacity by retaining the pastors from both appointments. This innovative method leads two churches to becoming stronger together for the sake of the Holy Spirit's work in the world. This session will highlight how two United Methodist churches, Monticello and LifeBridge KC, entered into Shared Ministry together in 2023. We'll talk about the importance of relationship building, methods of strategic planning, and some of the leadership lessons we’ve learned along the way.
